POLYLOSE C maintains and controls fluid loss and boosts system rheology without negatively affecting the MMO system. It does not biodegrade. It C acts as a colloidal blocking particle to prevent water movement. This process restricts the swelling and dispersion of cuttings and helps to reduce ultra fine solids build up. This product is effective at controlling fluid loss in both weighted and low solids drilling fluids over wide pH ranges. POLYLOSE C shows stability up to 275 °F (135 °C).

POLYLOSE C is a fluid loss reducer for the MMO mud system.

Recommended treatment

POLYLOSE C concentration of 2.0–6.0 lb/bbl (5.7–17.1 kg/m³) is the normal range of treatment. Mix POLYLOSE C through the hopper at a rate of 5 to 10 minutes every 25 kgs sack. For best effect, POLYLOSE C should be added to the MMO system after calcium ions are removed using soda ash. Treatment rate should be determined on site or in test muds similar to planned field use.
